7 REASONS WONDER WOMAN IS MY NEW LIFE COACH

Since that day I have had complicated conversations with Feminist friends who thought the “love” angle was problematic, but that is not what I testosterone cream buy in australia online the am writing about today (I quietly turned in my Feminist Card in disagreement with their complaints; it’s not the first time I’ve had to turn in a Card…different blog post, moving on…..). Today, I want to write about why Wonder Woman is my new Life Coach.

I am a Licensed Psychologist. I own a business. I employ people. I am a Mother. I am a Wife. I am a Daughter. I am a Citizen. I am a Friend. I am EXHAUSTED ALL THE TIME. I can sleep at almost any moment of any day, except of course between the hours of 10pm and 6am when I should be sleeping. Those hours escape me.

A few years ago I felt my health start to decline after I got into a car accident. I literally felt myself aging. My back and neck were injured so I gained weight because my movement was significantly limited. Right around the same time I found Ben & Jerry’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. Needless to say extra weight does not help us feel better, rest, relax, or rejuvenate.

Last year, I got serious. I hired a wonderful woman to help me with intentional relaxation and focus (Thanks, Shelley). She held me accountable for actually prioritizing myself.

This year, I hired a personal trainer. I started buying more vegetables and fruit. I now eat more protein and less sugar and carbohydrates. I’ve cut out liquid candy (I mean soda), and my alcohol intake has been significantly reduced (less adult liquid candy). I started making time for a real breakfast and a real lunch. I scheduled regular massages.

Slowly but surely, the fat is turning to muscle. My focus has improved. I’m a bit better organized, and I’ve lost a few pounds. Unfortunately, I am still tired… really really tired. Nevertheless, I took my teenage daughters to the movies, and as a result, Wonder Woman changed my life.

First, she motivated me to go ahead and write this first blog post….I’ve been planning blog posts and podcasts for over a year now, so THANKS WONDER WOMAN – you have made me accountable.

Second, she reminded me, taught me, and reinforced for me SEVEN additional really important things. My hope is that as I embrace each of these with the same intention that I have embraced working out and eating better food, I will see the life fruit in rejuvenating restfulness.

Welcome to my Journey…This should be fun.

  1. LIFE IS NOT FAIR. I WON’T EXPECT IT TO BE
  2. I MUST TRAIN. I MUST PRACTICE
  3. IF I AM GOING TO BE HEADSTRONG AND STUBBORN, I BETTER BE RIGHT
  4. WE ALL NEED PEOPLE, A SQUAD, A RIDE OR DIE TEAM (A hard one for an introvert like me)
  5. I CAN ALLOW MYSELF TO FEEL DESPAIR. I CAN CRY. I CAN EVEN GIVE UP, FOR ONE SCENE
  6. WHEN LIFE DISAPPOINTS, I CAN DIG DEEP & FIND A BETTER REASON TO SLAY THE BAD GUY
  7. I CAN BE A REAL PERSON & I CAN MAKE MISTAKES AND STILL BE WONDER WOMAN

So, this is me. Wonder Woman’s newest client.

Together she and I will create a life that allows me Rest and Rejuvenation while still being a Licensed Psychologist, a Business Owner, an Employer, a Mother, A Wife, A daughter, a Citizen, and a Friend.

I will keep you posted on how it’s going….
